ACC Ontario Students Attend International Vision Expo & Conference West in Las Vegas

On October 4-5, 2013, staff and students from ACC Ontario’s Optical Dispensing program attended the International Vision Expo & Conference West in Las Vegas. The International Vision Expo & Conference West is the largest ophthalmic conference in the world! The event incorporates many different elements of the ophthalmic industry, including the technical, medical, and business side of optometry.

Some conference highlights included the following:

Designs in fashion from both established and up-and-coming brands
Technology in lenses
Technology in diagnostic equipment
Continuing education for various certifications and licenses

ACC Ontario students attended this conference in order to truly grasp how large and influential the ophthalmic industry is, to network, to gather information, and in order to start planning the direction of their careers.
