Fresh on the heels of a great pinning ceremony and a wildly successful licensure exam, the Career Services department at American Career College-Orange County held an employer "Meet and Greet" for its most recent physical therapist assistant cohort this October.
Hosted by ACC-Orange County Career Services director Johnny Lacey and Career Services specialist Sherrie Aguilar, the day started with the PTA graduates sitting down for individual mock interviews to prepare for their meetings with the six potential employers in attendance, including Interface Rehab, Therapy Staff, Interstate Rehab and Therapists Unlimited.
After the practice session, the PTA grads got a chance to meet with company representatives individually to learn more about the job market and any job openings. Lacey said the feedback from both the graduates and the recruiters “was amazing.”
“Many of the graduates were already given opportunities to go to an official second interview,” Lacey said. “We’re looking forward to many job offers soon.”
