American Career College students took home the gold — and silver — at the Optics College Olympics, organized by the California State Society for Opticians during February 25-26.
The students competed by answering questions testing their knowledge in optics. Their score was based on accuracy and speed in response to each question.
When the dust settled and the results came in, two ACC optical technician students stood atop the winners platform.
First place went to ACC-Ontario's Crystal Dunn, who took home $500. Viridiana Ramos, who is in her fourth module at ACC-Los Angeles, placed second and won a cash prize of $250.
