Radiography students at American Career College-Ontario got a jump start on their clinical rotations this April when hospital directors stopped by campus to share information.
ACC-Ontario radiography clinical director James Chavez invited employer and clinical partners Robert Galvan and Steven Vincent on campus to speak with the radiography cohort, who are all set to begin the field portion of the 25-month program.
Galvan, the radiology director at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital; and Vincent, Victor Valley Global Medical Center radiology director, described how their departments were organized, provided overviews of the clinical rotations and offered advice on how to succeed in the field.
"The students listened intently and had many questions to ask our guests, who made a great impact on the class," ACC-Ontario executive director Rita Totten said.
