More than 500 students at American Career College-Orange County got a chance to meet with recruiters and health care managers at an on-campus career fair in May.
A total of 64 healthcare recruiters, talent acquisition representatives and healthcare managers stopped by the Anaheim campus on May 30 to conduct interviews and meet with potential future employees.
ACC-Orange County Career Services director Johnny Lacey said he knew of 12 on-the-spot interviews that happened at the career event.
"I also know of two people so far who have received job offers too," he said.
ACC-OC medical billing and coding graduate Candice Polanco said she was "pleasantly surprised" with how many recruiters there were at the fair and all the options she had.
Polanco said now that she's done with school she's "ready to get out there and work," which is a good thing since she had a job interview lined up for the next day.
"I didn't think I would get an interview right away," she said. "I thought they would just take people's resumes and get back to them when they wanted so it's really good to get an interview right away."
