More than 120 students at American Career College-Los Angeles registered as donors at a blood drive on April 19.
Valentina Aslanyan, an academic retention specialist at ACC-Los Angeles, said the event was "very successful," adding that another 37 ACC students had signed up as bone marrow donors recently at a previous event.
"The blood bank collected over 45 pints of blood, which will save more than 117 lives," Aslanyan said. "I would like to take a moment and thank all our class ambassadors for scheduling students and the students who came on their scheduled time to donate. The process went very smoothly."
The ACC-LA Admissions Department also chipped in by supplying nachos, music and photos for the event.
"All of the students seemed to have a good time and many were inspired to share with their friends about why they love ACC," Admissions Advisor Rosie Ochoa said.
