American Career College-Los Angeles held a non-perishable food drive during November and collected 1,505 items (on a goal of 1,000) for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
“Thanks to the support of students, faculty and staff we were able to exceed our goal,” shared Cathy Rabensteine, administrative assistant at ACC-LA and co-organizer of the food drive with fellow associates Alicia Suzuki and Anabelle Vargas.
Faculty, staff and students participated in the food drive, which is the second one the campus has participated in in three years.
“The students really band together for a worthwhile cause,” Rabensteine added. ACC-LA does community outreach activity at least once per quarter, sometimes more often. October was “ACC-LA Goes Pink” month to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. During December, the campus is partnering with local Marines to host Toys for Tots drive.
Thanks to the ACC-LA campus for giving back to the community!
