About 25 students and five faculty members from American Career College-Orange County participated at the Lung Force Walk on Nov. 4.
“We had respiratory students from multiple classes, along with vocational nursing instructors and students who volunteered,” Cristian Toth, the respiratory therapy clinical education director at ACC-Orange County, said. “The American Lung Association came on campus and encouraged our students to lead the team."
Students helped raise money for research to put an end to lung cancer by participating in the 5-kilometer walk at Mason Regional Park in Irvine. According to the American Lung Association, the Orange County event helped collect more than $90,000 in donations for lung cancer research.
