Students from American Career College-Los Angeles spent part of their Saturday this May helping new mothers in LA.
The students volunteered at the Good+ Foundation, which supports 26 local programs and thousands of families across Los Angeles.
"Our students were amazing and able to prepare 300 breastfeeding kits for new moms," ACC-Los Angeles Student Services coordinator Ruthy Rodriguez said. "They also helped prepare 13 pallets with 500 boxes of diapers and 67 boxes of baby wipes, which will support many families in need."
Founded in 2001 by Jessica Seinfeld, the Good+ Foundation is a nonprofit organization that aims to break the cycle of family poverty and has donated almost $42 million in children's items to a national network of over 125 antipoverty programs.
"We cannot thank the ACC ambassadors and students enough for participating in this volunteer event," Rodriguez said.
