More than 300 volunteers from American Career College and West Coast University took part in the 2019 Orange County Heart and Stroke Walk on March 16, which helped raise more than $1.6 million for the American Heart Association.
As a group, the ACC/WCU Heart Beats raised nearly $12,000 for the event, finishing among the top four fundraising teams. Overall, 429 participants from ACC/WCU helped raise nearly $15,000.
Volunteers helped provide information and blood pressure checks at the Health & Wellness Expo, and many took part in the 5-kilometer fun run and walk in and around Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
