More than 45 American Career College students and associates came together this summer to serve over 1,000 meals at the Los Angeles Mission.
The volunteers said they were humbled by the gratitude and appreciation from those they served between June 25 and July 10. Each expressed how much they loved the experience and would want to do it again. Many said how it made them appreciate the small things in life.
"The experience definitely opened my eyes more to being grateful and understanding of any situation that comes my way. I look forward to many more opportunities like this,” Dolores Lolla, a physical therapy assistant student from ACC-Orange County, said.
