The weeklong celebration of American Career College's 40th anniversary this January rolled into ACC-Ontario for its next stop, where it seems the students find time to study their dance moves after homework.
ACC-Ontario Student Resource Center specialist Lisa Lewis-Moss kept the party going as everyone took a moment to enjoy the festivities on campus for ACC's anniversary. Students from all programs competed in a three-legged race, musical chairs and other games while lunching on complimentary burgers served from In-N-Out. The dance floor quickly filled up whenever the DJ played a popular song, as staff and students danced and sang along to the music.
During a break in the action, ACC CEO and founder David Pyle addressed the crowd, thanking them for choosing ACC and congratulating them for the courage to invest in themselves.
"One of the greatest things I get to do is stand on the stage with 11,000 people watching and cheering at graduation and shake as many graduate hands as I possibly can, because the moment those students graduate, their bet pays off. They are launched. They are out the door and they are ready to go," Pyle said. "And every single day, that's what we're trying to do here at ACC — help every single student succeed to the best of their ability."
Founded in 1978 as the American Career College of Optics, ACC now has more than 50,000 graduates as the school enters its 40th year.
