Nearly 30 students from American Career College-Orange County got a chance to explore the best and brightest of dentistry this May at the Anaheim Convention Center.
At “The Art and Science of Dentistry” conference, ACC-Orange County dental assisting students investigated some of the 550 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge technology, new products and dental innovations at the California Dental Association convention.
Some of the 26 students attended classes or participated in demonstrations of different oral care products. A few students actually won prizes, ACC-OC DA Program Director Cecilia Cabrera said, but everyone took home a bagful of samples and goodies.
“The group really enjoyed it and they are looking forward to attending next year, but with the title of ‘registered dental assistant’ next to their name on their CDA convention badge,” Cabrera said.
