It's always good to be flexible as a healthcare worker. It just doesn't normally earn you an ice cream.
At American Career College-Los Angeles, more than 150 students this June participated in the Summer Celebration Kick-Off, as classes rolled into the summer semester. Students were treated to music, games, a summer events calendar and — for the more limber ones — a limbo challenge, ACC-Los Angeles student services director Nadya Torres said.
"It was optional to play limbo and win a fun treat like sandals, fans or ACC water bottles, but everyone who signed in received an ice cream treat," Torres said.
Torres said she received a lot of positive feedback from students excited to attend all the events ACC-Los Angeles has planned for the summer.
